Spinning at Bike Beat

Bike Beat at the Hilltop shopping center is allowing cyclist to do stationary bike training in the back of the Bike Beat store. Cycling workout instructors are available to assist beginning - elite cyclist.

Rick Young (manager) is allowing cyclist use of the facility free of charge on the following days:

  • Tuesday 6:30 - 7:30 p.m. (Erika Peck, spinning instructor)
  • Wednesday 7:00 - 8:00 p.m. (tentative)
  • Saturday 7:30 a.m. -9:30 a.m. (if weather is rainy or 35 degree and below)
  • Sunday 7:30 a.m. -9:30 a.m. (if weather is rainy or 35 degree and below)

All you need is: biketrainer, towel, water bottle, cycling cloths, small fan (optional) & Bike Beat will provide: private changing room, large screen TV, DVD, and training videos.

Park in the parking lot behind Bike Beat and enter store from the rear. Please come 15 minutes early to setup your trainer and prepare for the cycling workout. If you have any questions please contact Rick Young at Bike Beat @491-6151 or Steve Simet @ 589-2752.

Time to step it up!

There really is not off season, as a cyclist it is difficult to take any significant amount of time off and remain in top form. It is easy to get motivated this time of the year because the 2010 race calendars are being formed. Just looking at all the races on the schedule for next year makes me want to train harder...
